A quick jump over to www.Apple.com today will welcome you with a video tribute to Steve Jobs February 24th, 1955 – October 5th, 2011, a year to the day after his passing. The Apple founder is highlighted with some of his great career moments in the latter part of Apple innovation.

The video highlights moments from the launch of the iMac, iPod, and the iPhone. It is interesting to hear the audience chuckle as Jobs presents the original iPhone. Little did those in attendance understand the sheer importance and impact that this single product would have on the world to come.

It is great to see the company put tribute ahead of sales. Going to Apple’s main page requires that you watch the tribute before being presented any other options for the site. This for some may seem over the top, but it definitely speaks to Apple’s long mantra of “Think Different.”

Immediately following the video is a message from current Apple CEO Tim Cook
