AT&T Jumps into Cloud Business

AT&T has just released news of its new AT&T Locker cloud service see (press release) below. The new service, which will compete with Apple iCloud, Google+, Amazon, and others, provides photo and video storage and sharing to its customer base.
The cloud service is enabled through an iOS or droid app, providing instant upload to the service. The locker isn’t limited to just photos or videos, users are able to upload other files as well as music to the cloud via the application.
Unlike new services such as LocalCloud, which provide a business centric local and cloud storage and sharing solution; the AT&T solution appears to be built for consumers. With no mention of security or business use the App is clearly built to compete in the consumer space.
Taking a queue from other online consumer storage solutions, AT&T is offering 5GB of free storage to new users. Though there is no mention of price or ways to increase storage it can be assumed that pricing will fall in line with competing products.
The APP is available now in the App store as a free download.
